The increase in collagen induction begins within 48 hours of treatment. However it usually takes at least 4 weeks for superior results to be seen. 3. Contraindications for a chemical peel include active skin infections, recent sunburn or excessive sun exposure, active cold sores, a history of keloid scarring, a weakened immune system, and recent laser treatments or other cosmetic procedures including fillers or botox. It is important to discuss your medical history with a professional before undergoing a chemical peel. Please wait a month before booking in from any of the above.

Try to leave the products on overnight that were used during your treatment. 2. In the morning, wash your face/body area with a sensitive face or body wash and a clean flannel. Pref just water. 4. Apply a soothing cream to hydrate skin. (Sold in salon) 5. Apply an SPF of at least 30. And try to avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks. 6. Mineral make up can be worn the next day. Clean brushes should be used to apply the make-up. Best to avoid make up for 72 hours. 7. Do not use any Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C (in a low pH formula) or anything perceived as “active” skincare for next 3 days.  NO sauna, steam, gym, pool and tanning for next 3 days. Sweating may cause bacterial infection.  Wait at least 4 weeks before next procedure. 7. If you experience any unexpected adverse reactions please contact your therapist or seek medical attention. Feeling: There will normally be redness in the area. This will usually clear within a few hours but can persist for up to 2 days in some cases. 2. You may experience some itchiness/tightening in the area. An Anti-Histamine may assist in the reduction of itchiness. 3. Some dry skin may be experienced and a hydrating skin care cream is useful to assist this. This dry skin is caused because the moisture barrier of the skin has been breached by the needles and is a normal reaction. 7. In rare cases there may be some bruising, swelling or marks where the needles have entered the skin. 8. In rare cases small pustules may form on the skin. They should disappear on their own. If they persist please see a GP.
