Why you SHOULDN'T shower directly before a wax.

Another term for your skin is 'tissue'. If you wet a tissue and wring it out, it isn't dry, just dry...er!

Same for your skin, wiping the skin doesn't make it fully dry. The skin is waterlogged until the moisture is absorbed or evaporates. Our skin is water resistant, not waterproof.

Same with sweat, just because you stop working out doesn't mean you skin instantly stops sweating even if you jump in the shower. It takes time.

Wax will only stick to clean, DRY skin. So you should clean the skin by showering a few hours before and not wear any deodorant, body lotions etc in the areas due to be waxed.

For intimate waxing you will be hugging your legs into your chest exposing the buttocks. HRM Beauty provides wet wipes for the intimate areas as I can't wax over...I'm sure you can use your common sense here.

If your skin isn't prepped, your treatment will take longer and hurt more as we will have to re-wax areas.

In conclusion, don't book a wax straight after a gym session or any other sweaty activity.

You also can't go straight to the gym or sweat straight after a wax either, unless you want spots.
